Keithley F. T. Lake
Managing Director
A
native of Anguilla, Mr. Lake attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City,
where he received his J.D. with Distinction. After graduation, he was admitted
to the Missouri Bar and worked as a staff attorney for the Office of the Solicitor,
United States Department of Labor in Kansas City. Following Mr. Lake’s
employment with the U.S. government, he joined Allied Signal, Inc. in Kansas
City as a staff attorney, where he eventually was named Counsel, Allied Signal,
Inc., Kansas City Division.
Mr. Lake then attended Norman Manley Law School at the University of the West Indies. Upon receiving his Legal Education Certificate, Mr. Lake returned to Anguilla where he founded the law firm Keithley F. T. Lake and Associates, Barristers and Solicitors-at-Law. His firm is engaged in the practice of law with special emphasis on international commercial matters.
In his capacity as Managing Director for First Fidelity Trust, Ltd., Mr. Lake is the company’s Chief Executive Officer. He is responsible for carrying out the policies and procedures established by the Board of Directors to ensure the orderly operation of the trust company. He is also responsible for ensuring that all control and audit procedures are followed by all employees of the company, thereby guaranteeing the accuracy and fiduciary responsibilities of the company. Mr. Lake also has the fiduciary responsibility of ensuring that the wishes of the Settlors are considered and that the trust is managed for the benefit of each trust's beneficiaries.
Duane J. Crithfield
Director
Mr.
Crithfield is a graduate of the University of Nebraska having obtained a Masters
in Administration. He served as an officer in the U.S. Army and subsequently
as a reserve officer.
Mr. Crithfield began his business career as an investment officer for a major
Midwest regional bank and was actively involved in numerous leveraged buyouts.
In the following years, Mr. Crithfield founded a U.S. based consulting firm
specializing in international financial services.
Mr. Crithfield works closely with many Caribbean governments advising on the
laws and regulations concerning banks, trust and insurance companies. He assists
governments in reviewing existing and proposed legislation that affects financial
institutions.
As a result of his recognized expertise
in the financial services arena, Mr. Crithfield is often requested to serve
as a director on the boards of financial institutions. In addition to serving
as Chairman of Citadel Insurance Company, Ltd., Mr. Crithfield serves various
governments in reviewing existing and proposed legislation as it relates to
the financial services industry. He also works closely with those governments
in developing and proposing new legislation to assist the different jurisdictions
in becoming international financial services centers. Mr. Crithfield is a
member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and the International
Tax Planning Association.
Deborah D. Tyrell
Manager
Ms.
Tyrell brings a solid background of management and general business experience
to First Fidelity Trust. Through her various positions during eight
years with the Four Seasons Resort in Nevis, ranging from Assistant Manager
of the Concierge Desk to Front Office Manager, Deborah worked with clients
and personnel from around the world to provide superior service and develop
winning teams. Having owned and operated her own business, she understands
general business principles and operations, as well as the sales and marketing
side of business.
Ms. Tyrell holds a Certificate of Human Resources Management from Centennial College and an Associate's Degree in Business Administration from Miami Dade Community College. She is currently seeking certification through the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
